Ok when I usually review a book I always review straight after reading it so I remember everything and what I'm feeling straight after reading it so I can give the most honest review I can.

With this book I have had to sleep on it, it rendered me speechless. Even now after 10 hours have passed I'm numb.

The excerpt :
A fallen boxer.
A woman with a broken dream.
A competition…

He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…

Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.

Had me hooked from that. So our story begins with Brooke and her friend Melanie going to watch an underground boxing match. When they are at the ringside and they announce Remington Riptide Tate.

"A shiver runs along my spine as the crowd goes crazy over the name alone"

This is even before Brooke has seen Remington. When Melanie dares Brooke to "look at him and tell me you wouldn't do anything for that man" When Brooke first sees Remington's face
"his face is suddenly before me, illuminated by the lights, and I just stare like an idiot from my place. My God" There are so many quotes I could use. when Melanie shouts how hot Remy is he turns and winks at Brooke. When Remy takes on Hammer in his first round he has Brooke melting in his seat. Then when he wins that round and turns and stares straight at Brooke she feels taken right there. As Remy takes on his second fighter Brooke stands to go to the toilet Remy k'os the man quickly and jumps out the ring and runs after Brooke. This is the start to their relationship, and omg is all I can say.

I loved this whole book, everything about it, the story, the character's, the pace, the setting. It drew me in like an addict and had me hook, line and sinker. There is so much I can say about the story to give you an insight but I wont because you need to read it with a fresh mind with no spoilers.

This is an amazing read, its made me numb and fried from reading it. My favourite quote from the book that can explain how I felt when I had read it is:
" Something rushes through me as if this is the first sip of water I've had in weeks, and every pore in me is dehydrated"

This book has plenty of move moments in it and I would give it 5/5 for movie moments( which is for me when your watching a film and it gets to the exciting part that grips you and you either have to go for a walk around the block or leave the room then come back, when I read a really good book and I get like this, for me the author has hit everything right about the story)

The only advice I will give about this book is this

1) Be prepared to forego all normal duties.
2) Make sure you have blinkers and earbuds, so cant see or hear anyone.
3) Preferably lock yourself in a room which has a lock.
4) You need a huge DO NOT DISTURB sign.

To the author Katy Evans, thank you for an amazing read I can't wait for Mine(Raw & Ripped#2)

Remy is grunting and sniffing the whole time. Also, this book does a great job making people with bipolar look like social outcasts. Just a hot mess.

What is with the over praising of this book? Premise sounded interesting. I knew within the first few pages I made a mistake buying this. The characters are written so one dimensionally that I couldn't connect with any one of them. I didn't grow to care about either main character. I bought this book based on a suggestion after purchasing Jennifer Lyon's Kat/Sloane books. Sorry, not a fair comparison.

    ...Not the greatest

At first, I really liked the book, but then things became annoying. Its like I kept reading the same thing over and over!! "Oh Remy makes my sex clench soooo much!" UGH!!

I got tired of hearing about it all the time. Seriously. We get he's hit! This book had so much lust that I gagged with it. And what was with the scenting and "male-claims-mate" thing? Yes, he's a guy with uber high libido, but shiiiit!

And the whole nora thing was annoying. I liked Remy, honestly. He was real tome, but Brooke was just a horny and always getting wet. Did she have a vagina problem? Jeez!

    Well...

1.5 for this. Oh wow, this book. Took me a little while to finish this. And I was just bored by it. There are moments, very little I might add, that I didn't mind and you know what? There moments when Brooke isn't obsessing over Remy. And focusing on her job and moving on from an unfortunate past event, wanting to move forward.

Which is, throughout, the, whole, book. I'm not kidding. There's so much Remy this and Remy that I can read before it just gets annoying and repetitive to read. Bella Swan had more to say and the descriptions in that book were far better. Can't believe I said, but there you go.

And oh my the writing. Where to even start? Okay, so while reading, I'd come across a line and thought am I suppose to take this seriously?

And from what I heard, apparently not. No offense if you like this. If you do then fantastic. For me, its a no thank you.

Another thing I liked was that I agreed with Remy on getting to know Brooke first. But as for Brooke, apparently she's like, wha?

The side characters with most of these books, I'm noticing, are more interesting than the MC. Remy has his moment...moments? But still.

    Wasted Potential

This book started out absolutely fantastic. The sexual tension broke through my medication-suppressed libido, it was GOOD.

But the author shows a complete disrespect and lack of understanding of mental illness. I was excited when she mentioned her main female character was OCD, but she apparently didn't actually MEAN Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She has absolutely NO idea what bipolar disorder actually entails.

And I think the worst part is, instead of growing more secure in their relationship, the characters grow more possessive, jealous, even emotionally abusive.

I've never really wanted my money back from buying books before, but these really make me want a refund.

Just couldn't get in to it

I typically love all romance book. Especially when it involves a strong male lead. I just couldn't get in to this book. The writing and plot just seemed to drag.

C+ got repetitive 2.5 stars Okay but Average read Just okay

Tthe book has potential but after awhile it just gets repetitive and predicrable. Enough with the "scenting" already. Also, author should research bipolar disease before inaccurately writing about it. Gene expression,? C'mon now.

Oh my gosh! I have never rated a book before but this one was out of the ball park. I loved the excitement and emotional roller coaster.  Very well written. And could not put it down. I'm ready for the next book.
