Good book to do as a group study.
The author relates our busy, interrupted, and sometimes hectic lives as mothers to the life that Jesus lived. Some of her ideas about mom's needing "me time" I have heard before, but it was neat to remember that Jesus had to go off and have prayer time and needed to get away from the crowds just like us. He understands! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

What Great Encouragement
My sister and I have been reading through this book together in support of each other in our journey through motherhood and have found this book to be incredibly inspirational and relatable to my life. I encourage new moms to get a hold of this book and to moms who have been at it a while, it can also help put things into perspective. Reading it together with someone else is also a great idea as it has a discussion guide in the back...Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. WONDERFUL book for Moms!
I have now finished this book Real Moms...Real Jesus and would like to share my thoughts with you.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
I have found through her blog and other books that Jill has a way of speaking to the hearts of Moms. She relates real life experiences of her home in a way that gives insight to other Moms going through the same situations. Real Moms....Real Jesus is no different.
This book has thirteen chapters that relate the experiences of Jesus during His life on earth to experiences of Moms. Jesus served; we serve our families. Jesus taught; we are teachers in our homes. Jesus prayed; we must cover our families in prayer. Jesus let go; we have to learn to let go of our children as they grow.
I enjoyed reading this book and participating in the weekly posts about each chapter on Jill's blog. It is very encouraging as a Mom to read about the life of Jesus and see how things He faced relate to motherhood. I was blessed by reading this book.
