Civil War, spies, underground railroad, and Romance all in one book

Gabriel is a Union spy who comes to the South to get information and meets Camilla who is the daughter of a Confederate. Her father is helping build a sub. It was so good to read a story about the Civil War and feel like you were a part of it. It was like walking through the story. You could invision the story and learn so much more about the Civil War. I like the way Gabriel and Camilla struggle with their feelings for each other because this is the way I feel real life really is. When I finished this book, I wanted it to keep on going.

Extremely well written and highly recommended.

This historical novel set during the Civil War grabbed me from the beginning and I had a hard time putting it down. Reading it on my Nook tablet made it even more enjoyable. The characters were engaging and relatable. A great summer read.

Thank you for writing a mystery/history romance with God in all the right places!

Finally a love story in which the guy actually respects the woman and doesn't sleep with her while all the while saying he loves her but really can't wait. And even better, showing how God works in peoples lives. Gabriel's conversion was both believable and made me cry. Thank you Elizabeth White!
