Fans will enjoy this entertaining profound historical tale
In Plum Creek, Colorado Micah Spaulding has cared for his comatose wife Eppie since her injury three years ago; praying she will return to him. However he is unprepared for her reaction when she finally awakens. She does not recognize their home, obviously their child Miracle who was born after she went into a coma or even Micah although her body seems somehow to know who he is.
Eppie tries her best to be a mom to Miracle, but the child knows instinctively all is not right. When someone kidnaps Miracle, Eppie vows to rescue her daughter. She also pledges to herself to be the best wife and mother ever even if she is starting over with her beloved family.
The return to Reconstruction Era Plum Creek (see THE EDUCATION OF MADELINE) is an exciting historical romance starring two strong but flawed lead characters and a strong support cast. Beth Williamson refreshes the overused amnesia spin by having Eppie pregnant when she was comatose so that she sees her infant for the first time when aptly named Miracle was three. Fans will enjoy this entertaining profound historical tale in which a Miracle is the only hope for this family to come together.
