Rekindled is one of the most powerful redemption stories I've ever read. I kept hoping the heroine's husband would reveal himself to her, and I held my breath every time I thought the truth would come out. The emotional tension kept me reading through the end with anticipation. Of course, my throat clogged more than once, and my eyes watered. A-hem. I love a story that makes me feel something so deep and so rich that it makes me want to love my husband even more. Truth be told, there are few historical romances that I've enjoyed as much as this one. In my opinion Rekindled ranks right up there with Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers. The villains were creepy and seemed very real to me. I loved the characters and the heroine's interactions with the ladies from the bordello, as well as her friendship with the simple-minded man. Excellent characterization. Once again I escaped to another world and loved every minute of it. I can't wait to read the sequel. Something tells me it's going to be about a teen rescued from the bordello, but I could be wrong. However, given the level of commitment the hero and heroine felt toward saving that poor girl, I'm convinced she'll have an important role in the next book in the series. Did I mention that I love this book? The ending was well-paced, and the timing and resolution was as perfect as any I've ever read. Great climax, and extremely romantic reading!

    Very good book

I appreciate the love that the main characters either have or develop for Christ but it gets a bit preachy. The bad guys are Really Bad and the good guys are Really good. An interesting love story too.

    Loved the book

Don't ever judge a book by its cover or a person by their looks. Here is a man who was given a second chance and a wife who thought she knew what she wanted. God gives all of us a second chance and we should make the most of it.

    Enjoyed the transformation

I truly loved this book. When her husband goes away he is a man that is jealous of his wife's beauty and worried she will cheat as his mother did. When he is taken care of by a husband and wife he learns of God's true love and he is transformed into a Godly man.

    330 pages

This Chrustian book is 330 pages long. The hero of the book is not a very nice person. He gets injured and he takes months to heal. His wife thinks he is dead. At this point the book takes off and becomes much more intetesting. Characters from all walks of life are included. There is rape, violence and some other rather detailed events in this novel. I was surprized some of them were included in a Christian novel. It is a stand alone book, was well edited and is book two in the series. The ending was very pat. I would consider this chick lit, but I could see a male reader of westerns enjoying this book as well. Mature 16 years could read this book.

    Highly Recommend! Enjoyed this book!

I found this book to be well written, with colorful characters and a stirring story. While certain elements in the end seemed a bit abrupt, the main characters' story ending is fulfilling and satisfactory. I enjoyed walking with the characters from both points of view and sharing in their journey of faith and healing. I will certainly be reading the next book in the series.
