    What a great book!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have always wondered when I die will I regret not doing something....Well Walter Cronkite had "NOTHING" to regret. What a life!! I lived some of the history he wrote about....but he saw it close-up. The people he met and talked to is unbelieveable. I would have liked a bit more about his children and wife......but all in all what a great book.

And This is the way it really is (was)!

Witty, provocative, insightful, challenging, human, passionate. These adjectives only begin to capture the experience of Walter Cronkite presented from his unique perspective. Those of us who remember his cadenced presentation and avuncular presence will be surprised and warmed at seeing the side of Cronkite the camera and radio could never capture let alone present. A wonderful return to a time when journalism and journalists were more concerned with the presentation of fact and truth rather than tabloid. "A Reporter's Life" reveals Cronkite's depth and passion for journalism and his unique insight to life, masterfully presented by the Master himself. A read you will return to again and again. "And that's the way it is . . ." To those of us who knew him on the small screen and radio a wonderful reverie; to those who are newly introduced a wonderful introduction to a person of greatness. Well done!
