    what if story

This is not the typical type of book or story that I like. But the characters were so real I could see them and cried for them. I could see how and why the fiction could be real if we are not careful. I hated some of the characters. Like President,HDS agents. their misuse of power.I cared for a lot of the characters and none had a happy ending with so much death around them. the book was well written and I could not put it down. It wrung out my emotions. How greed and power can corrupt is scarry.

    Highly recommended

Review of giveaway eBook Set in the near future in an increasingly oppressive America. This tells the story of a chain of events leading up to a state seceding from the USA and the ensuring civil war. Told from multiple view points with well drawn characterisation and gripping plot lines this was a very interesting and well written novel. I enjoyed this enormously and would recommend it highly.

Really enjoyed this book. Very well written. I can see the fear

Really enjoyed this book. Very well written. I can see the fear of DHS as a real thing, now and in the future. Way too much power.
The setting, characters, and the plot were gripping. I would recommend this book to anyone worried about what can happen when Washington haas too much control.

A good read that hits home

This is the 2nd title I've read by this author (1st was Prayer at Rumayla) and I am very impressed. His characters are all highly believable and his pacing is excellent. For this novel some may think it too implausable a premise but I found it a little too close for comfort. Obviously for literary license as a fictional future tale there are events a little far fetched but history has told many of the same stories before, which makes this one vision of a possible future a very chilling read. Whatever your political leanings are this is an entertaining and thought provoking read.

Silly Premise but a good read

If you can get past the silly premise of this novel and ignore the highly unlikely set of events, this is a good read. It is fast paced with characters you believe in and care about. ON balance, it is worth your time to buy and read.
