Offline Marketing is huge and will continue to grow in 2011. One of the biggest niche to start with and cash in, is the Restaurant industry. Business owners of cafes, fast food outlets, diners, Chinese restaurants, Italian restaurants, Greek restaurants, Organic Food outlets and the list goes on.

I've worked in the Food & Beverage line in my late teens right up to my mid 20s. Trust me, till today, Restaurant owners don't have the time to run a proper marketing campaign. They have daily operational challenges that they have to face. From products, equipment, staff and customers - these are enough to tire them.The Marketing people who they've hired are either their relatives, internal operational staff or Marketing graduates who are not aware of the mobile website & social media tools.

Remember: Most Restaurants still pay for traditional advertising in Newspapers, Magazines, Trades, TV, Radio, Billboards, Subway- Trains & the list goes on. Most of these media do not target their
audience although the media owners will give a broad view of 'so many number of adults or teens' are our audience. Where else with
Social Media, you can target demographics, actual audience and even get them interactive (via FB Fanpage). Likewise with Mobile Websites. The restaurants' promotions & ads just get personal with their target audience. Not traditional media. In fact many traditional print media use Social Media & Mobile Websites to supplement their
ads. This is actually a slow migration for them to - use New Media.
