Retro Flip Clock=Awesome

I first became aware of Retro Flip Clock on Apartmenttherapy.com a few months ago. I'm old enough to have had the original as a child, and immediately decided that I had to have this one.

The design, aesthetics and features of the clock are accurately represented in the photo.

The casing has a semigloss finish, and battery installation was extremely easy. It takes only a few seconds to set the month and day, and while the "flipping" mechanism is audible, it's also subtle. A fun, unintended effect is the hour change. It's slightly louder than the minute flip, but a pleasantly noticeable distinction.

I've owned the clock for approximately two months now and I haven't experienced any problems, technical or otherwise.

Would gladly recommend for the sentimentalist, or anyone appreciative of of quality design at an affordable price.

Sadly, the clock doesn't work.

This is such a cool looking clock but it doesn't keep the correct time. I bought 2 and the hours didn't flip correctly on either.

Junk

I so wanted to like this clock because it looks so cool but it just doesn't work. Contrary to what "Retro Flip Clock=Awesome" says, the clock is just junk. I don't think he's writing about this clock anyway as there is no month or day setting for this. The battery was actually hard to get into the slot believe it or not and the thing is really cheap. Worst of all, it just doesn't keep the time. I'm so sorry, I really liked the look of this but I can't recommend it to anyone.

Piece of s***.

I really wanted to love this clock. I've been wanting a flip clock for a while now and when I saw this on the website I knew I had to have it. After setting it up, putting the correct time on and battery in I put the clock in it's new home. I came back an hour later and the clock was still at the original time I had set it for. I switched out the battery thinking it was just a bad one... still nothing. I can hear it working but the time doesn't change. What a piece of s*** clock. Do not buy it.

I bought this clock before reading the negative reviews and that made me nervous but I'm glad I didn't let the reviews discourage me. It looks so cute on the website and it matches my living room perfectly! At first I was having issues getting it to keep time but then I figured out you just have to set it two minutes ahead of actual time then it catches up. Not sure why but that's just the way it works. The clock looks great (albeit a bit on the cheap looking side) and it has been keeping accurate time all afternoon. We'll see how it gets along after a few weeks. Overall, for the price, I think it's a bit low quality BUT the design is exactly what I wanted and I haven't seen one for sale like it anywhere else so I am very satisfied with the item. If you love it, GET IT!
