What words can one use to describe the fantastical sex, death ride B-movie horror romp that Michael McCarty, Linnea Quigley and Stan Swanson have offered in the exploitation monster story THE RETURN OF THE SCREAM QUEEN: EMBRACE OF THE AZTEC VAMPIRE. This of course being the sequel to NIGHT OF THE SCREAM QUEEN!! Both books stand alone and together. There is so much humor, and drama and sacrificial killing that you don’t know whether to laugh or scream. Most of the time, you might just do both!

Michael, Linnea and Stan (heretofore known as “Mi-li-st”) come back to tell the tales of Desiree Starr, a multi-talented and Double-D Scream Queen as she tries to overcome the horrible events of her last trip to Florida. In this story, Desiree has the opportunity to return to Florida and film a soon to be classic horror tale with Director Terronez on the campus of Angel Falls University (AFU). Unintentionally I am sure but a type placed the set at FAU, Florida Atlantic University, which cracked me up. Corruption, nepotism and sexism and a few more -isms run rampant on the campus but so does Zyana, the Aztec Queen whose past story winds through the present tale.

“Mi-li-st” expresses themselves with immense humor, sexual drama and hijinks and that you might find at a Drive In on Saturday evening back in the 70s. If you like stories about well-endowed women and cheesecake men fighting for the lives against Tenochtitlan acolytes and horny guys and gals, then this book is right up your alley.

Michael is an incredible author whose art of story-telling rides tall in the saddle. Add in Linnea’s experience as a top Scream Queen and the poetic touch of Stan and you have a book that is near impossible to set down until you finish and you are apt to read repeatedly. I have always been impressed with Michael’s abilities with the written word and you could probably call me a big fan. Linnea is the number one Scream Queen with a timeless beauty and some exciting writing skills. With Stan’s touch, you have a classic series title that could go on forever. The plot is tight, the characters are fun and most of the time obnoxious as all get out so you applaud when they meet their demise. You need to pick up a copy of this book as quick as you can. It is like actually reading Playboy for the articles. Your imagination can provide the pictures!
