this was the first of her books i read. and i loved it. (though i bought it as part of an ongoing joke with my neighbors and the flamingo that apeared in their yard after my vacation.) i was able to keep track of all the cousins and friends. even with out being properly introduced. when will the (if it hasn't already) next book come out....crouching.....leapin loon? ~Abbie

Pink Flamingos in a Reenactment Craft Market?

After "Murder with Puffins" I was glad to see Meg and Michael back in Meg's hometown. This time they are involved in a reenactment of a battle in the revolutionary war and shortly in another murder. The mystery is nicely done, but I missed the involvement of Meg's relatives. They come in on the periphery, but their excentric behaviour that made "Murder with Peacocks" so interesting was only touched upon not fully integrated in the tale. I enjoyed this book, but doubt that someone who hasn't read Peacocks will like it.
