    A Good Start

This book's program runs for 6 weeks in which a certain food is eliminated each week and/or restorative foods/practices are introduced for that week. A lot of the suggestions are common sense that we just choose to ignore - for example, go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning. There are yoga poses introduced. I found eliminating sugar really helpful (another common sense thing I choose to ignore sometimes); I would have a rapid heartbeat at night that made it difficult to fall asleep; eliminating sugar has reduced that problem. I had been using sugar to get me through the day; I am still working on this problem of fatigue/weakness that I was using the sugar for. One of his biggest recommendations is having protein/fat for breakfast in the form of a whey-protein (meaning, milk protein) smoothie. You would hardly believe it but almost every whey protein smoothie mix at the health food store had sugar in it (maltodextrin); and after 5 days straight of protein smoothies in the morning, I really didn't want it anymore. The book is excellent for its discussion of additional tests that can help determine the reason you're tired. I'd had my thyroid checked in the past but not all the tests cited in this book were used: In addition to TSH test, there are Free T4,Free T3,Reverse T3, antithyroglobulin antibody, and antithyroid peroxidase antibody tests - all just for the thyroid alone! Then there is the vitamin D test (25 OH vitamin D level 25-hydroxy vitamin D) (my test revealed very low vitamin D levels but D3 supplementation did not relieve my symptoms) and DHEA-S test (DHEA-S is a really strong steriod needed by your body to make hormones that stimulate the mitochondria in your cells - mitochondria are responsible for making energy within the cell). Most doctors won't do these tests when you complain of chronic fatigue; you have to ask them. One test he may have forgotten is a cortisol level test (for adrenals); but he may have mentioned this earlier in the book. In addition, I don't recall him talking much about hypoglycemia and/or pre-diabetes; both have fatigue as one of their symptoms. There is a recipe section and recommendations for different supplements throughout the book. If you try to do it all, it will be expensive. There is a lot of information and suggestions in this book; if you try to do it all at once, you will be overwhelmed. Try doing one or two things and making them a habit and see if it works. Use this book as a starting point and continue your research.

I guess you are a new roleplayer. People aren't active during school time. Roleplay isn't dying, it's just going through he effects of school. Things will be better when summer vacation rolls around.<p>

I have actually been here for some summers. I know that there is a lack of roleplayers during school days, but new roleplayers wouldn't hurt anyone. I'm simply proposing an idea to try to get more people to rp. Maybe if we branched out, like I said in my other post, rp could be more active than it is now. I can see your point that activeness goes down during school though.

Some very good yoga poses that I will try. I like how its laid out in what you need to do each time you add something new to the mix. As far as if it works....haven't tried it yet.

    Great book but...

I enjoyed what I read of the book and found it to have some great information in a easy to follow format. The issue I have is that the ebook you buy is incomplete. There are about 30 pages missing... all of the recipes are not there. When I called B&N about this concern they refunded me and deleted the book. Didn't get to finish reading it!
