Overall, this is a great book. You don't need to read the previous two in the series to understand what goes on. It's a good read, but the one thing I found annoying was how everything fell so nicely together. It was too preconceived and readers can even guess from the synopsis why Rhiana can sense the dragons. I guess it is more of a light read since one of the focuses of the book is Rhiana's need to feel a man's love which she does with a rival dragon slayer. If you don't want surprises and a safe reading, this is the book for you.
