Hoppalong Cassidy stories are all great but...
The best Hoppalong Cassidy stories was written by Clarence E Mulford. Mulford created Hoppalong Cassidy in the early 1900's. He wrote him as a real rough and tough cowboy. When they asked L'Amour to write HC, they told him to write Hoppy with less faults and more heroic. This made L'Amour's Hoppalong just a little less realistic... He still wrote a 5 star book, but it's just different from the original that Mulford wrote. Both are worth reading. Check out Clarence E. Mulford in the free e-book section and compare for yourself. Enjoy!

Great read
Another great western by the master. I prefer this Cassidy to the TV "drug store" style I watched as a child.

The thrilling story of Hopalong Cassidy and Red Connors
Red Connors is being chased by Sim Aragon and his gang for barging in on him and his gang for stealing cattle,he wishes that Hopalong Cassidy would come and help Connors who is injured badly. The two chase the out laws all over the west and finally find where they are taking the cattle and catch the out laws. Excellent book for those who like western adventures from Louis L'Amour.
