ONE OF THE SPOOKIEST IN THE SERIES

Rise of the Huntress will not disappoint any of Joseph Delaney's fans. It is one of the best books in the series. I have each book in this series and love them all. This book follows Clash of the Demons in this series.

Tom, Alice, and the Spook go home after a hard battle in Greece. The Spook's house and library have been destroyed by soldiers. Wanting to escape the county, the three have to go to an island called Mona. However, they soon discover that they will have to fight another battle.

Alice's mother, Bony Lizzie, a powerful witch who has escaped from the Spook's pit in his garden. She has gone to the island of Mona too. It isn't long before Lizzie starts planning trouble of her own. There is also another man on the island who is powerful himself. He knows of a secret that any evil being would like to control. Needless to say, Tom, Alice, and the Spook have to stop Lizzie and the evil man.

I really like Tom, Alice, and the Spook. I can't wait to see what happens to Tom and Alice in this series. I hope everything works out for them. It is sad to read about the Spook, John Gregory, because his life is coming to an end soon. After all Tom is John Gregory's last apprentice.

The ending is exciting and no reader of this series will be disappointed. The pace is fast, scary, and the plot creative in a clever way. Delaney is an excellent writer and I love this series. When it ends, I will be sad.

    The Best Series out There

I just finished reading "The Rise of the Huntress" and it did not disappoint. The book is dark and the hope that is present at the beginning of the series is slowly being removed because of the dark's rise to power and the fiend's presence within the world. After reading the last few pages of this book I literally became depressed because I knew I was going to have to wait for book 8. I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoys a darker tale of humanities struggle over evil. Finally, I would like to point out that the author shows how ignorance can lead to evil and often do cruel things that would even make the dark would scratch it's chin and think, "dang, now that is messed up".

What would you do if you knew that things would never be the sam

What would you do if you knew that things would never be the same again? If you lost everything, including centuries of knowledge and handwritten books? That’s exactly what happened to the Spook, his apprentice Tom Ward, and Alice. After coming home, to a land continuously invaded by enemy soldiers, and seeing nothing but ashes, having nothing but the clothes on their back and one book that survived the fires, they immediately departed. They left for a little known island, Mona. The islanders there retaliate against refugees, and try to send them away. Unfortunately, Tom and Alice were mistaken as witches, and are taken away sentenced to death. Then, a powerful, dangerous dark witch comes and declares revenge on the Spook. This meant the end of it all, unless they could stop it. Do they beat the witch? Can they escape with their lives? Read the Rise of the Huntress, book 7 of 12 of the Last Apprentice series, by Joseph Delaney to find out. I highly recommend this book, it was a delightfully frightening tale of life, or death.
