If you interact wiht other people in any way, it would be a mistake to not read this book.
Although over the years i consulted RRO from time to time, i never actually read it from cover to cover. I was too intimidated by it to take up the challenge to read it. Then, several weeks ago, to avoid sounding like a bully at a meeting i was preparing for, throwing around a few pointers from RRO when i knew very little, i actually read it from cover to cover, all almost 700 pages of it. Much to my surprise, it was not only easy to get through, but i actually enjoyed it. My only regrets are that i did not read it at the start of my career and that my mother did not have us follow RRO at the dinner table.

One thing i realized after reading it was that there are lawyers out there who double up as parlamentarians at some meetings (e,g., condo association meetings), but they actually know nothing about RRO. It was rather enjoyable for me to just sit back and observe one particular lawyer pretend he knew what he was talking about when in fact he knew nothing. (Disclosure...I am an attorney myself, but i have now read RRO.)
