Good story, but lacking in character and full plot development. Zach was an open book, but what about Audrey? And that ending-not only was that illegal, I can't believe Audrey was just like 'Oh well!' I mean, now what? Move in with Zach? Start her own firm? She's not independently wealthy or groupie material. I just wished Audrey hadn't actually morphed from the wildcat to the kitten throughout the story. Pet names are cute, but they actually showed her demeanor throughout story. I mean, both her and Lanie just settle. And while I understood Lainey's decision, Audrey could've had it all. She could've been a kick ass female protag. And why wasn't there a meet with her conservative parents? That could've added tension and levity. Riff would've been hilarious meeting the rents.

Good

While its rehashing her first book from Riffs point of view, which got old, it was still good to see and read. Love the authors style and look forward to seeing her work on the twins books!

Ms. Valentine has created a group of gorgeous rock stars!

When Lanie Vance has to ask Noel Falcon to help with his Children's Literacy campaign she takes along her best friend Aubrey Jenson. Aubrey has this thing for bad boys but lately she has gotten her heart trampled by their boots a little more than she likes. Swearing off bad boys and hoping to find a nice clean-cut man to take home to her ever nagging mother she meets Black Falcon's guitarist Riff.

Zach "Riff" Oliver sees this beautiful leggy red head and offers her a "golden ticket" when she refuses him multiple times he is hooked. Cause everyone knows Riff loves a challenge, but when Riff finds out Aubrey is Lanie's best friend he knows he is gonna have to change is strategy if he was Aubrey.

I will say that Riff is oh so hot! and I love his tactics in chasing Aubrey. This cat and mouse game is hilarious, painful, and so sweet! But shhh! Riff doesn't want anyone to know he can be sweet! :)

So much back story. I didn't care for how much of this book was a repeat of the first book - just told from different characters point of view. I felt like the first 2/3 of the book were kind of worth skimming to get to the new stuff. I understand that this was going on during the first book - but it was boring to tell it that way.
