Rogues, Rakes & Jewels by Claudy Conn
Marquis Ryker of Lyndhurst is sent to the Isle of Wight by his mother as she wants him to meet some country chit. He drags his cousin along, the Honorable Oscar Robendale but comes up with the plan to let Robby be him. He believes every woman only wants him for his title and wealth...not that he's not a handsome man...he is. He’s intrigued and surprised with the chit he finds at the Henshaw house though. Will his switch backfire on him?

Sir James and Jewelene Henshaw have been left orphans and with debts. Papa liked to gamble a bit much. They have a light at the end of the tunnel though, Lightening their race horse. They just have to get his entrance fees to the derby. Thus enters...Babette. Jewels solution. Or Babette could just add more to their troubles.

Of course there is Lord Omsbury who will do anything to make Jewel his. Anything! A book full of unique characters as usual. And of course there is always the confusion that lies bring into a story. This isn’t a real long book but it’s packed with adventure and romance.

    Liked it

Good story. It was only 139 pages on the nook. The last 90 pages or so was another book. I didnt like how the book ended abruptly. This could have been a really great book if it wasnt cut short.

    Not bad

Short and cute. Likeable characters, drama, suspense, romance. Just over 100 pages

    Hello

A 160 page free book (somehow got a 365 page version of same book from Nook also) of regency romance. Poor spoiled impoverished beautiful lady meets undercover rich handsome marquis and fall into unavoidable hot steamy sex, etc, etc, etc. Good read. Plus several excerpts of other books.

    Hello

A 360 page regency romance with hot steamy 'we can't help ourselves' sex; for some reason the rules and manners of the time do not matter when lords and ladies are hot for each other. The book also includes several 3 chapter excerpts from Conn's other books. Good read - head-strong spoiled but poor beautiful lady meets undercover handsome rich lord, etc, etc, etc.

    Boo review

Book is 207 pgs long. But the story is actually 138pgs. The rest is just a sneak peek of a different book. Entertaining. Easy and quick read. Nice.

    Meh

I couldn't actually read more than the first couple of chapters because the dialogue was incredibly awkward. Colloquial speech or not, there were words dropped and left out in an unnatural pattern. It was difficult to read as I was having to go over the same sentences and insert the missing words in order to make sense of it.
