    The Rookie

First fell in love with the movie years ago, so i decided to read the book...an equally amazing story! Just 4 stars because i felt like it lingered too long in each place, however it's a great read just the same! Not just for baseball fans...this story will appeal to all readers :)

this book the rookie is a great book and a book to teach you that you can do anything you want like jim morris he never gave up on his dream. Mr morris he was a man who practiced day in and day out to become a pro ball player he was drafted by the brewers but went to trainning camps and the right back down to the minor leauges. then he got hurt which keep jim from pitching and practicing like he did everyday then he had kids got married but he keep on practicing when he got better his wife was a huge supporter to him. jim went to night school to become a teacher then a high school coach he led his team to a district championship. then his players and his coaches made him try out for the pros one more time the he got drafter by the Tamba Bay Devil Rays. I think i would recommend this book to everyone its a great book teached me to never give up on a dream and im sure it will teach others if it tought me

    A Great Book On Perseverance

Jim Morris is a man who joined professional baseball while he was in his thirties. He spent his whole life trying to make it in and also trying to stay away from it. He tried coaching baseball and was very good at it. He also did other sports and they did not satisfy his hunger for baseball. Finally he came back to baseball and made the pros. This is one of the greatest books that i have ever read. It took only about a weekf for me to read the whole book. The book was very inspirational because it gives you a message telling you that if you ever wanted something so bad, you can get it if you just simply have patience. This was one of the things that kept me reading; I could not put the book down. I would pull it out during class and just keep reading. I think that if there is somebody out there who needs help or inspiration or guidance, this would be a great book for them to read.
