Not everyone will relate

This book has a lot of value and a lot of practical advise, but she goes on and on about how much support they had and how much support we will all have when faced with this nightmare. I never had one meal delivered, no one was there to help with my grandson whom I'm raising. I live over an hour away from where I grew up and most of my friends and family still live, so all this did was made me feel more alone. Another point I'd like to make is that she is trying to help the grieving parents as well as those trying to support grieving parents. Maybe she needs to write a second book for support people or, if she feels it needs to be said in the same book, maybe she could have one section in the back for those who want to know how to help. Good book, but not great.

A Must read for anyone who has lost a Loved One

In 2007 I lost my niece, who was like a daughter to me,to domestic violence. During a greif counseling session the counselor advise me to read this book. This writer gives you hope that through Christ you can have a whole life again. This book is instrumental as I am still going through my healing process.

I have since given this book to my sister and other that have lost loved ones and feel there is no Hope.

Get this book if you are grieving or know someone who is!

My sister recently passed away at the age of 31, and a friend of hers gave this book to our family. This friend had come across 'Roses in December' when her brother had passed away at a young age too, and she said it truly helped her family through that tragic time. I'm so grateful that she introduced us to this book because the author described very well the emotions and thoughts that we go through when we lose someone who's irreplaceable, unforgettable, and so loved/dear to us. My mother, my sisters and I have all read it now and want to give a copy to everyone we know. If you or someone you know has lost someone, this book is a great help. I cannot say enough about it, just get it!
