I loved this novel. It's sexy, fun and i found it very empowering. The writing is better than most in this space but more than that i kept reading it to see what would happen to her once she agrees to participate. It's not hardcore erotica by any means but it is sexy and Cassie is a really great heroine.

I'm on the fence...After a tremendous build up in my mind for this novel, I have mixed emotions since finishing the book.  Cassie is the
young widow of an alcoholic who has lost her sense of self - in all aspects.  A series of encounters with the kind of women who Cassie
emulates results in her accepting an invitation to join a secret society dedicated to the liberation of women - showing them that they truly
hold power and control within themselves.  The writing of the book was very good but I would not in any way call this an erotic novel.  I
found the sex scenes to be ridiculously tame and boring.  It was not the main focus of the book but the psychological thought process
and growth that Cassie experiences was well defined -  I enjoyed taking that journey with her.  I did not find the book to be a romance
novel. The male relationships Cassie has as she grows are shallow and serve only to facilitate her personal growth.  The ending was a
surprise - she finds what she needs, yet it was not what you would expect.  I will probably read the next in the series before making a
final judgment just because I love the mental growth component.  If you are looking for steamy sweaty sex or hot romance, pass on this
one.  It is a novel about a woman finding her inner strength and the courage to live her life on her terms.

    Horrible

This book was a complete waste of money. I paid 9.99 for the full book and only got through the first 50 pages which was dreadful and I kept finding things to do while trying hard to read this book. Damn I wish I could get my money back.

    Disappointing

All sex, no emotional connection to any of the characters.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY WANNA BE

This book was sold as "if you loved 50 shades.... you'll love this book too." Not even close. This book was so boring and uninspired. The writing was not very exciting. The plot was mindless and honestly, the erotica was not so erotic. Do writers honestly believe that they can hand women anything, label it erotic and it will be worth reading. I think that that actually writing a story that is interspersed with erotic scenes is more tantalizing than the dribble that was in this book. Save your money.

This is a book about a frightened woman’s transformation from self-conscious to self-confident. This is about Cassie’s experience with a 10-step program (facilitated by a private organization called S.E.C.R.E.T) designed to reawaken her and reconnect her with her sensual side. I connected with Cassie – a thirty-something waitress hiding behind a so-so job that doesn't challenge her and frumpy clothes that hide her in plain sight – for the whole book. I really connected with Cassie, was excited to grow with her, and loved watching her continued from Step to Step. For me, her transformation was believable and well-rendered. However, the ending ruined the *entire* book for me. I still love the story and still love the character; can't recommend the book because the ending -- completely uncalled-for, in my opinion -- negated everything else.
If only the story ended about 4 pages earlier, this would be top of my “Love It” list. Sadly, it’s not for me.
