    Beautiful Game!

As is no surprise, this game is gorgeous. The graphics are fantastic. The game plays like an in game movie would normally play. Also, the music is beautiful. Although it seems sometimes it can be a bit glitchy. Overall a great game.

    Freaking Epic

Final Fantasy XIII is one of the most amazing games I've ever played. In fact, I became comepletely obsessed with the Final Fantasy games. The game follows Lightning, Sazh, Vanille, Hope (who, for the record, IS a guy.), Snow, and Fang as they try to save Cocoon, fufill their focus, and not become those annoying giant monsters.
The graphics are pretty freaking awesome if you have a 1080 screen. If not, they may not be as good. Also, it helps to have the Guide book or Internet (or both) handy to get you through Boss battles and Paradigms.
The battle system is pretty good, although it would be nice to have something like Aya's Overdrive handy if your party leader dies. Better potions would be good, too. But having Hope as a Medic is good as long he or you don't die (which is easier said than done, but I don't worry about him too much).
I may still only be on the Fifth Ark, but this is a pretty freaking epic game. I don't know how it is in comparison to other Final Fantasy games, but I'll say it again.
    FREAKING. EPIC.

    Exciting and Visually Stunning!

Okay, so I am going to be honest with you all right now...I suck at RPGs! I am formidable enough at them to get into some a little ways, but when it comes down to the thinking bits on some of these later on in them and everything, a lot of times I just buckle and can't continue. I was not made to play RPGs for the most part...unless they are certain sci fi/action/survival horror titles that incorporate RPG elements. Still...even that depends on the game. I am really more of a shooter & action/adventure gamer, though I do dabble in certain other genres if I find I can get into them enough. Anyway, that having been said, this title would likely be no different, and I likely won't be playing this one. HOWEVER...just because I'm not any good at RPGs and don't really play them much doesn't mean that I don't appreciate them any. My room mate is a big time RPG and MMO RPG fanatic, and he plays them all that time. I actually enjoy kicking back and watching him play some of them sometimes, because I can still appreciate the work that goes into these games...and they are often times graphically superior to a lot of games and have intricate stories...especially Final Fantasy titles. This one, from what I have seen so far, seems simply amazing! My room mate received his copy via the mail with guide book this morning, and I spent a good chunk of the day before work watching him dive into it. Graphically, it is one of the most beautiful RPGs I have seen yet. Character wise, so far...all the main characters seem pretty cool. The main character, (whose name escapes me at the moment), is beautiful, but has a tough & sexy attitude about her. LoL. The African American fellow is cool and funny...and carried a little baby chocobo around with him that, at first, seemed a little cheesy to me, but he actually talks to it, and the concept grew on me after a little bit. I didn't get a whole lot of time to really gauge much of the other characters yet, but a lot of the others that were encountered seemed pretty cool too. I have not necessarily grasped the whole storyline behind this one yet, but it no doubt consists of an ellaborate quest to take down an evil, megalomiacal enemy before he permanently disrupts civilization as people know it. The opening cut scene was intense! It involves the 1st 2 charcaters in the game, which I mentioned, escaping a prison brig in a vast city, which is likely ruled by the corrupt enemy in the game no doubt, and the first battle in the game is actually a boss fight...though not an extremely hard boss. I mean come on...it's the first fight of that game. You can't make that hard. From there, you proceed to find a way of escaping, and then once you do, the story pans over to some other main characters in the game, who are fighting against the evil powers that be. Anyway, if you're an avid RPG lover, I would suggest checking out this game! I for one likely won't play it, for reasons I already specified, but I look forward to witnessing some more of it as my room mate plays through it gradually. I also have God of War 3 to start playing after today, so that will no doubt be engaging also. Anyway, like I said...RPG nuts, check this one out! I'm sure you will love it. I will be posting this on both the 360 and Ps3 versions, since my room mate has a 360 and I have a Ps3. Best of both worlds!

    Best of the series

I am an avid FF fan. I have been playing now about 5 hours so I am not far into the game yet. Visually it has to be one of the best games ever put out on the PS3. I was worried when I read about the new battle system, but I believe they executed it very well. I do miss random battles but they at least take you to a new screen when you fight just like the old random battle of the older games. I HIGHLY recommend this to any RPG fan.
