Everyone has secrets. In Sacred Secrets the author skillfully reveals her characters and slowly unveils their secrets. In the beginning I couldn¿t understand how such an intricate set of storylines could come together in the end, but as I neared the final chapters it all began to make sense. I enjoyed getting to know these characters and immediately took to Jacody Ives, split personality and all. Ives sets out to track down a killer while at the same time must fight his own demons. Then there is Katie, seeking her own answers about life and death, and a calling she can¿t ignore. I liked the way the author painted each scene and I found myself many times picturing it a scene in a movie. If you like suspenseful mystery mingled with the supernatural, and driven by endearing characters then Sacred Secrets is for you.

Difficult to get past inaccuracies
Author has an extremely poor understanding of so called split personalities. The stories so called expert got her education from the tabloids not a school. The totally wrong idea on that makes it difficult to enjoy the actual plot.

A very intriguing read.
This is certainly a mystery with a twist, a supernatural twist. Ms Prather definitely knows how to draw her readers in and retain their interest. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
I loved the characters throughout and felt compassion for Jacody and Katie, something that rarely happens when I've read other mysteries.
This story is riddled with twists and turns and I can't wait to read the second book in the series 'The Gifts' too.
Congratulations on an intriguing read Ms Prather.

This is one of the most fascinating books I have ever had the pleasure of reading. After reading the author's first book "The Gifts, A Jacody Ives Mystery," I did not feel like the next book could top it. But what I found was Ms. Prather is one of the most gifted writers of our times. In the second installment of the "Jacody Ives Mystery," the author takes us deeper into the depths of Jacody and Gavin. One person, with two different personalities. I am so glad that the author has included some of the characters from the first book that I liked. The new ones are just as engaging. The elements of the supernatural, add to the suspense of this story. I would also like to commend Charles W. Prather, Jr. for the poetry he has written in this book. He shows great promise as well. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
