    Excellent book

Our only daughter was murdered. She left two boys, ages 8 & 9 years old and she was their whole world. She was also 6 months pregnant with their baby brother. Their world changed forever. A dear friend of the family bought this book and gave it to them the night of their mommy's visitation. From that moment on they read it every night to each other. It is not only helping them but also is helping us adults. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who has children. One day they will need this book to read when they suffer the loss of any person who they have been close to and loved.

Excellent book for helping a child deal with death

Sad Isn't Bad is an excellent book for not only generating conversations with a child who is scared to discuss the loved one, but it is a book that my child has referred back to over and over, again. It has simple, realistic ways to help guide a child through the grief process. Adults who read it with a child can benefit from it as well. We found the book so helpful that we have recommended it to several other families.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - great book to give too

My 8 year old daughter and I were trying to deal with my mother's passing and she loves to read books. A good friend bought this book for us and since then we have bought it for 4 other families who were dealing with children and a loss of a grandparent! It is just the right thing to send when you don't know what to say (at a loss such as this) -- I've received complements of thanks for a book that helped parents help their own child learn to grieve in a positive way.
