...Blazing hot romance, humor, a hero and heroine who make you root for them in the hope that they can overcome all the seemingly impossible obstacles in the way of their ever trusting each other enough to find the happiness together. In this Texas-set story, Rio McCaine is dark and dangerous-- on the outside, anyway. When he agrees to Abbie Donegan's marriage proposal, it's only to save his ranch. He's not so foolish as to trust her with his heart, even though he finds her unexpectedly fascinating. Abbie Donegan is not the trusting sort either, and she makes certain -- she thinks!-- she's holding all the aces when she make her wild marriage proposal to Rio, to get back at his black-mailing half-brother. But keeping the marriage one 'in name only' is a lot harder than she thought. Both of these characters are very real, needing healing and to learn to trust again after life has dealt them some hard knocks. The situation is complicated by Abbie's wild, unpredictable siblings. Delores Fossen is definitely a rising star!!

Started out good!...............................................

Started out good!................................................... But at the end it started to drag and fell back on a heavy dose of the generic steamy love scene to replace good dialogue and plot. Too bad. It almost made it.
