    Finally!

After paying close to $20 per volume in Amazon thinking that these were out of print forever and ever, Sailor Moon is being re-released. Much to my heart's content. I don't regret buying the Amazon for they have the original covers...but I will definitely buy the Kodansha print. Sailor Moon has been part of my childhood since I can remember. I started watching the Anime back when I was 5, and more than two decades after...I still love this story line. Sailor Moon made an impact of the Magical Girl genre and raised the bar for future manga. The story is about a girl, Usagi, who finds out through Luna, a talking cat, that she is to battle evil by becoming Sailor Moon. She then is joined by the Inner scouts who are her team and then, in a later arc, the Outer scouts who are the ones that protect the earth against incoming invaders. The story gets a bit darker towards the end but nonetheless it is amazing. Any girl who watches anime and is into manga, specially those over twenty, will remember waking up early to watch this show on tv.

I'm so happy that Sailor Moon Manga is finally returning to North America! Sailor Moon has been my hero since I was a child and even today she holds a special place in my heart. I will definitely be purchasing these comics bimonthly :) I'm glad that we will be able to share this wonderful story with a younger generation. Long live Sailor Moon!! x3

    YES YES YES!

I have the original Sailor Moon SuperS and StarS Arc in my possession and am proud of it! I had actually ordered the first volume of the StarS Arc from B&N because they were the only ones who had it. The original Sailor Moon had ran out before I could get to get to own them. Now, I can actually own them with the new reprintings! Not the original cover artwork unfortunately, but I will no doubt have my fill of collecting my favorite manga of all time. Sailor Moon was my hero growing up and I am proud to say she will until the die I die! Praise Kodansha for the republication of Sailor Moon! <3333

I'm soo happy they brought this back to America. It was funny when they were making the announcement that they were bringing this back I was just thinking of looking for the manga I was missing. Since my manga collection was incomplete due to lack of allowance, and they were hard to find at the time. Sailor Moon was a big part of my childhood and what really got me into anime and manga. My sister and I would always wake up Sunday morning to watch Sailor Moon. Finally getting the chance to read the first manga really brings back those memories. I would also like to say the translation is alot better than the first time they released the manga. I also love the cover art. I would totally recomend this to anyone who has watched Sailor Moon or wanting a good classic manga to read.

I remember seeing the series when I was a little girl and just barely I found out last year the name of awesome series that made me a role model to everybody. When I say the name "Sailor Moon" in my computer, I automatically started looking for the anime again. after that, I saw that they had the series in the manga version and was so into it that I finished the whole five series in a week. Now that the manga is renewed again, I want to buy all of them. I feel the admiration that this book had given me to keep up trying for the people that loves you and return that favor back. Even if Usagi is a crybaby and all, she made me want to cry in the end because she suffered a lot. I also happened to go to a lot of suffering in the last year and without this manga, I don't know what would I be doing right now.

    Sailor Moon is back!

Oh, Sailor Moon. I watch the dubbed anime as a kid and loved it, and a few years ago, I watched the entire anime subbed and loved the series even more. So as a fan of the anime, it's pretty exciting for me to finally get my hands on an English translation of the manga.

But after reading volume 1, I have to say that I like the anime better than the manga. The anime has better pacing and definitely expands on the details. So far I feel like I barely know the characters outside of Usagi, because the story rushes to introduce a new sailor senshi almost every chapter. I'm also not finding the villains (not the monsters but the Dark Kingdom baddies) that scary or formidable, because they get very little screen time or they're just too much in the background. Despite that, I do love the story, and I hope volume 2 will better in that area. I also especially love the art. The author has a pretty style, and her narration is okay to follow even though sometimes I think the pages can be a little cluttered.

So even though I'm not fond of the manga as much as the anime, I do plan on collecting the series. I normally don't collect manga since it can be expensive, but as a Sailor Moon fan, I can't pass it up. It's neat to see the original source that started it all.

    Yes!

I've been a fan of Sailor Moon since I was 5 years old (now 23), and she's always had a special place in my heart. I'm so happy that this has been republished to be as true to the original Japanese print. And that we can share Sailor Moon with the new generation of Graphic Novel readers.

    Finally!

I've been anticipating this release since the announcement in March. I never got a chance to get it when Mixx/Tokyopop published it. I picked this up yesterday, and the art is fantastic! The translation is more accurate, and they use the characters Japanese names. I'll be picking up all the future volumes of this, and Codename Sailor V when they come out.

    OMG FINALLY!!!!

Oh my god! Sailor Moon was and still is my hero. I've been reading the manga and watching the series since I was 4 years old, so for 16 years (wow such a long time!) I was so disappointed when you couldn't get the manga in the US anymore and when they stopped airing the show those many years ago. So when I found out back in March that they were reprinting the manga and releasing Codename: Sailor V in the US on September 13th I was super excited! I love this series and I'm so happy that I will be able to get the manga books again and that the younger generations will be able to enjoy Sailor Moon and have her and the scouts become their hero's too!! Long Live Sailor Moon!!!! :D
