Saints for Sinners

In this beautiful book Archbishop Alban Goodier gives short lives of nine saints, each showing particular ways in which God works within His children to sanctify themselves and those around them. Goodier's point is that we are all God's children and all sinners.

Contained within are the lives of St Augustine, St Margaret of Cortona, St John Of God, St Francis Xavier, St John of the Cross, St Camillus De Lellis, St Joseph Of Cupertino, St Claude De La Colombiere and St Benedict Joseph Labre.

The source of comfort and strength in this book is that there is not a particular way that God forms saints, every saint is unique and has their own challenges, whether they arise from their own actions and past or the actions of others. We are not meant to read this book and say 'Ah, I am not a saint', but, 'Ah! I can be a saint too!'
