Salamandastron is a slice of salami
Probably the worst of Jacques' Redwall series. The title is what makes the book, if anything. We all were curious about that mountain of fire lizards, but this book does no justice for it. Too many characters in too many places doing too many things for this book to work. The central villain, Ferahgo, wasn't bad. He was cruel and unmerciful, greedy and tricky, like a good villain should. The plot and his reason to want Salamandastron was also decent. But their was too many characters in too many places at once. Not to mention they had little to do with one another. Because of this, the book became ordinary and boring. I'm sorry, but I want to be bored when I read a book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
