WOW
I actually have this as an ebook...on my laptop. It is a great read! I loved Bella's antics, as well as Sam's answer to them. Also loved how Sam took care of Bella despite his rough exterior. It is a erotic, romantic Western story...great for those that love stories about tough guys falling head over heels for a lady.

entertaining erotic Texas Ranger pre-Civil War romance
In 1858 bone weary Texas Ranger Sam 'Wild Card' MacGregor sees the two burned out wagons and thinks how ugly people are to one another. Tired he sees two bodies bloated by the sun and expects to find women and children, as wagons usually mean dependents. Accompanied by Kell the dog, they find more corpses and one lively female survivor. Isabella Montoya explains to Sam they are dead because of her though she was not with them when they died. --- He offers to take her home, bit she explains she is engaged in an arranged marriage to Tejala a nasty villain she refuses to wed. Sam insists on taking her back to her family's ranch, but she explains Tejala's odious henchmen stalk the spread. When they come close to her ranch, he realizes she was telling the truth as Tejala¿s thugs abound obviously seeking her out and would kill him to get her. Meanwhile wealthy Bella decides to seduce Sam into marrying her she figures it helps that she is attracted to him and more important he is an honorable person who also can protect her. Sam wants the woman who almost accidentally killed him when they met, but tries to be honorable as he knows she is an innocent siren. --- As with CAINE¿S RECKONING, Sarah McCarty provides an entertaining Hell¿s Eight erotic Texas Ranger pre-Civil War romance. The story line is fast-paced mostly due to the powerful relationship between Sam and Bella, whose exchanges makes the tale. Although Tejala is a stereotypical avarice serial killing villain, fans will appreciate the lone ranger with his horse and dog falling in love with a spitfire heiress. --- Harriet Klausner

Good book!
Great story about Sam & Bella. They had a sparky banter that made the story interesting. A bit of adventure, a daring rescue, and some long intense intimate scenes. Read this in the correct order, will add to the story.

Funny!
Loved this book. Bella sure knows how to handle that big ole cowboy. He never knew what hit him. You need to read book one, Caine's Reckoning to understand a few things that go on or are referenced to, but it's a great book.

Good read
I don't think this was as good as the first of the Hell's Eight Series, but as you can see from my rating, it is still a very good book.

Great, Hot , book
This is the second book I have read from the Hells Eight series. I usually read Historical romance, but this writer has me hooked on her Western romance, and more. I love this series inparticular. Even though this is considered an erotic book, it is so tastefully done. Love it.

Sexy western flavor
I enjoyed Sam's Creed for the vivid details the author gave to describing the old west background. Sam is a rugged but likable hero and Bella was intelligent despite her sometimes annoying female bravado. I liked the way their heated story played out and the plot was never dull!
