    A Winner

This is another great book by Lori Wilde. Allegheny Green, is a take charge kind of woman, who spends all her time taking care of her zany family. When something goes amok it is Allegheny who must take care of things, putting her own life and dreams on hold. When her sister shoots her boyfriend in the foot, after finding he is married, things start to really spiral out of control. Enter the local sheriff, Sam Conahegg, and the sexual tension between the two is evident. When Allegheny gets involved in the darker side of life there is only Sam to protect her. This story has a little bit of everything - murder, drugs, crazy relatives, mahem, and the underlying fact that maybe dreams can come true. This is a book that will keep your interest and have you reading until you can find out the solution to the mystery, which is shocking. For a story that has a something for everyone, I feel that Lori has once again given us a winner.

    A charmer

Sistene ¿Sissy¿ Green shoots her boyfriend wannabe singer Rockerfeller Hughes in the toe. Aunt Trish gets her niece Allegheny Green to take charge. Before she can Parker County Sheriff Samuel Conahegg arrives as the neighbors, Reverend and Mrs. Swigley called the cops. The ambulance takes Rockerfeller to the hospital while Sam takes the Green siblings downtown to question them. Sam and Ally are attracted to one another, but duty comes first. He flushes the marijuana he found down the toilet so possession charge do not occur and insists there is no law for shooting a rat. He frees both siblings, but warns Ally about her sister being involved with drug traffickers and worse. Before they leave a thug beats up Sissie insisting she tell her boyfriend he owes big bucks and will be next..................... However, though the siblings find Rockerfeller kissing his wife in the hospital that is not the end. Murder follows and soon Ally though innocent as the ¿enabler¿ to her loony family becomes involved in sexual blackmail, drugs, loan sharking, and threats to her well being with only Sam to keep her safe even as she wonders who will protect her from her raging hormones whenever he shows up as her protector..................... This Wilde police procedural romance never slows down from the first moment that Sissy and Sam meet until the final confrontation with the killer. The zany story line contains an eccentric (that is kind) secondary cast while Allegheny as her family¿s enabler will remind the audience of Marilyn in the Munster. The who-done-it is well written, but it is the antics of the Green kin that force the sheriff to ¿save¿ the besieged Ally (for himself that is) that make for a fun read................. A winner!

Lori Wilde has written another winner! You meet Allegheny Green and her wacky family and the sexy and very strong Sam Conahegg. At the very beginning you are pulled in when Ally¿s sister Sistine shoots her no good boyfriend Rockerfeller Hughes in the foot when she find out he is married. He is involved in some very shady things that is bringing Ally¿s sister down and causing her sister¿s little boy to suffer. The man beats her and is getting her involved in drugs and even asks her to hide his drugs that night. The cops come and the ex-marine now local sheriff Sam Conahegg comes and asks questions about the shooting and the drugs he sees at the scene of the crime. Ally cannot believe she is attracted to that man! She is normally the take-charge kind of woman. Not the kind of woman who wants to be taken care of. After spending so many years of taking care of her out there family and her sister¿s eight year old boy she starts to yearn for her own life but struggles with accepting she wants her own life and her own dreams. There is a sexual tension and chemistry between the two that is hotter than fire and when a man that happens to be her sisters¿ ex-boyfriend turns up dead in his tailor home things start getting even hotter and even crazier. People ending up dead and wondering who did it and watching Ally and Sam grow close, and you watch as Ally grows and makes her dreams come true. This story will have tears come to your eyes and the mystery will have you flipping the pages and when you learn who is behind everything you will be shocked. What more could a reader ask for? Lori Wilde delivers everything a reader could want! Congratulations Ms. Wilde!
