A MASTERFUL ANSWER TO DAWKINSIANS AND CREATIONSIST ALIKE

You can be a scientist, believe in evolution and deny creationism, and still be a christian. The author lays the fondation for a much needed middle ground in the whole science v. religion debate in America. You don't have to leave your brain at home when you go to church. I hope creationist and people who read Dawkins' 'God Delusion' are open minded enough to read this excellent text.

    Excellent

I loved this book. Not only is it insightful, but it's very well balanced in understanding and engaging both sides of this debate. As a Christian and a hopeful academic myself, I feel as though Giberson perfectly articulated my views. Perhaps I'm simply biased due to the fact that I find this treatment of the whole "Creation-evolution controversy" so applicable to my own place between the two worlds, but I'd argue that its accessibility makes it all the more valuable. There were some odd turns of phrase that made me think of the lame jokes my father would tell, but the scholarship itself is incredible and its extremely well written overall. I hope that it can provide some of the same insights for others (especially since I'm buying a copy for my father!).
