    Simply Brilliant!

Saving Henry, by Laurie Strongin is an amazing true story that is about a mothers long journey through parenthood while raising a boy who is born with a very rare disease, Fanconi Anemia. Fanconi Anemia is a genetic defect that is a type of heart condition that is recorded as fatal for most patients. Laurie Strongin rides the roller coster of life as it brings her to her miraculous uplifts and tetras downfalls in life, dealing with her first son Henry's condition. She is Henry's number one fan and shows to be a loving mother who will do anything for Henry, along with her husband named Allan. As Henry's mother and father learn that they have to bring out the best of Henry's condition, they adapt to the idea of living life to the fullest and never taking a moment for granted, which is the theme of this book. Through out this incredible book, readers will be captured by the love and inspiration that is involved in the adventures of the Strongin family. My major likes of this book is how involving and prioritizing it becomes in your life. I never wanted to put the book down when I started reading it, and I was always thinking about when would be the next time I would be able to continue to read it. It was such an inspirational story it made me think that I can do anything because of the events this family had to go through. I could really picture the actions that were explained, and the descriptions were unbelievable, it made me feel like I was really playing a part in the book, and I love that feeling because it keeps the book interesting and entertaining to read. Another factor of the book that I really liked was how at each ending of a chapter it would give a list of Henry's favorite things. This was interesting and it kept you tied in on what the current and popular things in Henry's life were while telling a separate mini story along side of the big picture. The handful of things that I disliked in the book were how some parts dragged on too long, and I became a little disconnected. Also, some points were talked about for too long and the feeling of boredom overcame me. If you do not like these selected emotions, for example being sad, happy, inspired, embraced, or the action of crying I suggest not reading this book! On the other hand though, isn't that what makes a book so magnificent? Being wrapped up in the story as if you were a character playing a part? Personally, I think so! I definitely recommend this book with no doubt in my mind! It is fantastic and keeps you up late at night on the edge of your seat reading! I can't even begin to describe in words how impressive this book is, it is so touching and emboldening. My overall rating with no question is 5 stars. So hurry to Barns and Noble today to pick up your copy of Saving Henry by Laurie Strongin.
