In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Krystal has once again blended magic and shape shifters, with modern-day activities and romance. Margaret is a Were-wolf and an interesting character, well fleshed out and keeps the readers on their toes. Scott is a Were-bear, and a fabulous hero. Strong, sexy, charming in his gruff way. He’s Chase’s {the hero from book one} best friend and they were in the military together too.

I would have liked to see Chase and Scott interact a bit, but Chase and his mate Samantha were off on their own adventure. All in all it’s obvious from book two that MRS. Shannan has a lot of fun twists in store for us throughout the series.

My only complaint is the whole Maggie/Margaret aspect is confusing since Maggie is a common nickname for Margaret and in this series they are two different characters. The ending is a bit sad, but the future of the series is promising.

    **** Love Scott and Margaret****

I loved how the big, sweet but Dominant bear shifter goes after what he wants! Sparks fly between Scott and Margaret and no way is he letting her run away! There is danger and some will not survive but this book is a definite must read! I love all the characters and how everyone sticks by one another even though they are not all the same species!

After having read Chasing Sam (Vegas Mates 1) I could not wait to see what else Krystal had in store for her readers so when Saving Margaret came out I knew I had to get my hands on a copy.  Now I must I say that I absolutely enjoyed this book.   This book can be read as a stand-alone, however it would be best to read the series in order as it will make it easier to follow the whole adventure that this series will be definitely be providing.
Saving Margaret provided answers to questions that had been raised in part one of the series. It provided me with a better understanding of Renata Damakis behavior, although this still did not ender to me. I just can’t fathom how a mother could treat her children that way.
This book as well as provides quite a unique take on werewolves as well as other shifters.  It was quite entertaining to read about romance between a werewolf and a bear-shifter.
Saving Margaret has the right mix of romance, action and suspense.  It pulled me in from the first page and I just could not wait to find out what was going to happen next.  I was so tempted to cheat by skipping chapters just to see what was coming next, but I am so glad I didn’t as it made the ending more worthwhile. There were quite a few twists and some unexpected occurrences.  My first reaction was OMG, tell me this isn’t so.
If you had never read one of Krystal’s books my advice to you is to start with this awesome series, you will not regret it.

Saving Margaret by Krystal Shannan is the second book in her Veg

Saving Margaret by Krystal Shannan is the second book in her Vegas Mate Series. This book can be read as a standalone but to fully understand a secondary plot you need to read the first book, Chasing Sam. Saving Margaret is a little longer of a read then the first book in the series. Saving Margaret is more indepth with a great romance between bear shifter Scott and wolf shifter Maggie. The book also contains a very interesting but maddening subplot that threatens to overwhelm the romance between Maggie and Scott.

    ****Spoilers****

I really enjoyed the first book Chasing Sam and was very happy to find out in this book why Sam's mom is crazy. In the beginning I thought that was a very interesting twist but towards the end I was like "What the heck just happened?" Unfortunately Sam's mom turns into a true villain. I am torn on whether or not I like where Krystal is taking this sub-plot. I can understand the need for a villain in this storyline and the reason why Renata is crazy is pretty inventive and interesting but for my comfort level...one too many wolves died in the writing of this story.
