An Excellent Contribution to American History
This book tells the story of what happened to Monticello after Jefferson's death. I've known a lot about Monticello and Jefferson, but had no idea that the Levy family saved Monticello twice from ruin, or that they owned it for 89 years, longer than Jefferson did. This book fills a void. It's well researched and well written. I'd recommend it highly for anyone intersted in Jefferson, Monticello, historic preservation, and Jewish-American history. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
