Scaling Up Excellence was a book that I was extremely interested

Scaling Up Excellence was a book that I was extremely interested in reading. In fact, as I made a list of books I wanted to read, Scaling Up Excellence was right on the top! My reasoning was very simple, I read a book by Robert Sutton and loved it. The other reason I wanted to read this book, is because I love reading management books and some case studies.

Scaling Up Excellence is a great book. It’s filled with lots of information, and is actually very well written. However, it was very, very, very long! I can appreciate what they did here with this book. However, I found this book to be long and nothing really new.

I personally found that it was a useful reminder into management. This book is not a one time read. The length alone doesn't allow for this. Rather, its one that I will refer to from time to time.

In reality, I believe that someone could read the first 150 pages or so, and pretty much get the bulk of the book. Not to say that the rest is pointless, this portion is able to be skimmed through, rather than in-depth read. All in all, a good book.

I received this book for free from Blogging For Books for this review.
