She's done it again!

Once again Francine Rivers has brought the pages of her book to life. She's made her characters real to me. I feel what they feel. I see what they see. This, as all of her books, was WONDERFUL. The rating of one star is not what I would give this, but it won't let ...
Once again Francine Rivers has brought the pages of her book to life. She's made her characters real to me. I feel what they feel. I see what they see. This, as all of her books, was WONDERFUL. The rating of one star is not what I would give this, but it won't let me give it five. Bummer. I REALLY THINK ALL HER BOOKS DESERVE 5 STARS!! I only wish there were more for me to choose. I go to the bookstore and stand as though I think some new book will appear. Hurry, Francine, Hurry!

    Absolutely Splendid

The Scarlet Thread is without a doubt one my all time favorites. It was the first Francine Rivers' book I had ever received and read. At the time, I was just coming out of a six year relationship that had truly ended badly. I realized after reading this, that yes, sometimes things work out the way you want them to. However, sometimes they don't, yet there is always a reason why. It really helped me to understand how I was feeling and helped me get through that rough patch I was going through.

Definitely a must read!!! I would highly recommend this book to anyone!!!

    just ok

I am a big Francine Rivers fan but this book was sooooo drawn out til about 3/4 way through. Good story but could have been a lot less repetitive with mood and attitudes at the beginning/middle.

Didn't like this at all-too much fighting between the husband and wife

Didn't like this at all-too much fighting between the husband and wife...you could say that makes it more realistic but this was not the book for me, despite the fact that Francine Rivers is an excellent writer and my favorite all-time author. I love her Mark of the Lion Series, those books carry you back in time and place you in another world. I love the way she points you to God. What a great writer!

    Depressing

Although Francine's writing never ceases to disappoint me, I definitely did not enjoy this novel. I hate divorce...my parents divorced about 10 years ago for many of the same reasons the main characters did. With the fact that I'm also about to get married myself, I felt their relationship discouraging and scary. I had to stop reading the book halfway through to stop myself from becoming too upset. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who feels the pain of divorce.
