Eye candy for science lovers--and artists
This is a fabulous, beautiful book that's already given me hours of enjoyment. I love the history of science, and I also like to learn about fields other than my own (wetlands biology). This has EVERYTHING: history, including images of ancient-to-modern scientific instruments and machines, biographies, sidebars full of inside stories. The photography and art work are dazzling. This is going to become one of my favorite books, I can tell already. It would appropriate for kids who can understand the language - it's layman-level but not kiddie-level. It would also be great for budding artists with a scientific bent, with tons of fascinating things to draw. (From the Writing Tips next to this review box, I infer that it's considered a children's book? Or YA? There is NO reason an interested adult won't love it, too - I'm the proof!)Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
