One thing that I love about this series is that Anthony Horowitz keeps it fresh by creating new characters, plots, and settings for each book. Alex Rider is a 14 year old boy who is "employed" by MI6. As Alex endures new missions, and mutiple near-death experiences, he matures quickly (while stayinng true to his teenage self) through the increasingly dangerous missions. As fans of this series waits eagerly for the next installment; you know that this series wont have your typical boring plotline.

    Ehh...

Not the best book. The other books in the series were better. I kept expecting for that "wow" moment but it never came. If u read the rest of the series you have to get this, but its not one of my faves.

    a bit dissapointing

I have been a fan of the Alex Rider series for quiet some time now and just recently finished this one. If you have read any of the other books in this series, you are probably used to the " edge of your seat" action that keeps wanting more. In this book, it had it's fare share of action, but did not give a very satisfying experience such as some of the other Alex Rider books. I personnaly liked the book yet in the end, it just didn't feel complete.

    Good ...

It was a good book but he should never have killed off Jack. That just made it bad.

It wasn't the best story or the worst

I think jack should have lived. MI6 is so easy to fool.

    Disappointing

I really thought that this book would be amazing. It was great for the first hundred or so pages and it was very intense, but I was very disappointed with the ending. I knew that the series couldn't have a truly happy ending or else it would be unbelievable, but the end was too harsh, too blunt. I've heard others saying it was bittersweet but I can't even see any good points at the end. To see the near destruction of the main character and the death of another essential character was pretty horrible. I would say that it was good but the ending spoiled the rest of the book for me, especially the last secret that was revealed. The rest of the series was absolutely amazing though. So just stop after Crocodile Tears!
