Ms. Strange is a hit. She wrote a wonderful tale of vampires and hunters along with the age old feud that needs to come to an end so that peace can settle on everyone involved.

I didn’t get the chance to read the first in this series and may just have to put in on my list to read so that I can see how things started. Since I did read this one I will just have to try my best to convey how much I enjoyed this one.

It must be really hard to lose not only your soul mate but also your creator. Rachel tries hard to deal with the grief of having lost Giovanni.

Leaving her old life behind she heads to San Francisco with fellow vampires Eli and Charles. Eli is very open with his feelings for Rachel where she tends to hold back because of her grief for Giovanni.

As she deals with nightmares that are so vivid they almost seem real, she realizes she just wants some normalcy in her life. She has decided that she needs to put the past behind her so she can more on with Eli as her emotions are becoming harder to conceal. She finds the only way to do that is to avenge Giovanni’s death.

Eli not being able to hide his feelings is willing to wait for however long a time Rachel needs to come to terms with the death of her lover and creator.

The Demarais family is Vampire hunters. They end up finding the small clan. An end must happen but to what means?

Ms. Strange wove a strong emotional storyline that put you right in the middle of the action. At times you are left heated and breathless with the passion she pours into the budding romance between Rachel and Eli as she finds comfort in his arms.

I loved the background on the Vampires as it helped to add depth to the story showing how well developed they are. The strong bonds of love, friendship, loyalty left you not knowing whether to laugh or cry at times.

With all the complicated obstacles, conflicts and sexual tension, Ms. Strange leaves you wanting to run out and buy the next installment of the series to find out what happens next.

A great read for every lover of the paranormal and romance. You just may find a new author to read.
