This is a series book. But you do not have to read in order. In fact, this was my first one of the series and I was not lost at all!
his is about a guy,Daryl, who had a rotten childhood and then fell in love. Got his heart broken, and decides it's better to be closed off and bitter, then to be crushed again.
Zach, is done with one-stands and is looking for love!
A mutual friend thinks that these two ppl would be perfect for each other and and pushes Zach to make the first move.

As the story develops, you discover why Daryl is so bitter and how Zach reaches him.

The author does a fabulous job developing this story, not just the 'love interest'  but the she doesn't forget the actually story of the book. And gives us a great HEA!

Have you ever read a book and just fall completely for one of the characters? And not fall in the whole “Oh I love you” sense, but in the sense that you just want to pick them up, put them in your pocket, and keep them forever? That is totally what happened with me in this book with Daryl.
Oh my gosh. That man was just amazing. It was impossible for me to hate him, even in the beginning, because you could just tell that there was something about him. Something that he was hiding and I just wanted to find out what it was. Find out what it was that caused him to be the way he was, and then? When we found out? Holy shiz, I totally can’t blame him for it!
Even though this book was amazing overall, my favorite part was being able to follow along as Daryl was going through everything, trying to trust again. That is what made the story so great for me because it was written in a way that was very realistic. It felt like I was following as a friend was going through everything, that’s how well it was written.
This book has certainly made me realize that I need to go back and read the other books in the series because I hope they are all as great as this one!
