This is a perfect book for those who like to see the passion spark between the two main characters. I am an avid fan of romance books and I have noticed that sometimes the initial spark falls flat. For example, some authors offer no description of physical reaction when the characters first meet each other (especially the man's). Aimee Carson does it subtly and effortlessly ( at leat from a reader's perspective). Additionally, she keeps it througout the book and does a very good job building it up from beginning to end. The only other author who does it well, on my list, is Nora Roberts. I liked it to the point that it actually made me come here to write a review. This is my first review of a harlequin romance book ( I have read many many of them). I gave it a four instead of five because the end seems abrupt, as it is usually the case with harlequin's books. I actually went searching for her other books in the hopes that she wrote something longer with a smoother transition, but there is a book only available in the UK.Was this review helpful?
