I'm a new fan of Robin's work and just finished reading this book and I have to say even for a short read it packed a good punch. I dont feel like anything was left out in telling this short story.

I do wish this book would have been longer, because I really enjoyed the character and it would have been even better if it was a pulled sized novel.
My main reason behind this: I am a sucker for nerds, and add in a buff British nerd and I think my heart has stopped. The book was a short and sweet novel that circled around to characters that missed their shot in College and after many years are finally making up for it. It’s a cute read that makes me wish a guy would take the Santa Baby song literally for me too. I did feel that the characters love moved really fast, but I guess considering they had been in love with each other for almost eight years probably had something to do with it. One thing I wasn’t sure of was the character Damien; he is very confusing to understand—basically he’s a CEO, playboy, best friend of the to main characters, and he doesn’t understand what love is and gives up pretty easy—a little unsettling. However, I still really enjoyed this short novella. It brought a smile to my face and I may have been drooling in the process.
Nick—I like me some nerdy buff romantic britishman.
Tessa—She seems pretty cool and determined to prove herself.
Damien—not really sure I understood him as a character.
Overall (Writing style, story line, and general):
Overall the book was a good fast and easy read that left me smiling. There was nothing confusing and even though it was a short novella nothing was really missing. Although, it still would have been awesome if it was made into a full novel. It left my toes curling and my hopes high while I dreamt of my Knight and Shinning Armour that was basically a replica of Nick.

My Rating: 3.5 Stars
My Review: This book was exactly what I expected it to be fun and a good holiday read. I
loved Robin Covington's first book from Entangled, A Night of Southern Comfort, and I expected to
enjoy this one as well & I did. Robin is able to write a short and sweet novella about Christmas as
still give you details and background about the characters - I love it! The characters in this book are
really good & I love their history together. I thought Tessa was great and Nicholas, well yeah, just yum. =)
The chemistry on the pages of this book was awesome & to be able to see it there between them while
they are talking to one another was fantastic!
I loved how this book is centered on a holiday song, Santa Baby! It sets the mood for the book and the
writing totally lives up to it. It's fun and sexy and good all the way through. My favorite part was Tessa &
Nick's "weekly terrible TV night." I will leave it at that, kind of ;) - this part had me laughing, giggling and
going yummy, yes please all at the same time!! Loved it!!!
Yes, my little kittens, I think you will enjoy this short little novella so be sure to check it out.

Tis the season for holiday reads!! I can't seem to get enough this year. I love a good romantic holiday book and Entangled Publishing has plenty of them including this one!! This is a pretty short story, but it gives you exactly what you are looking for in a great holiday read. It's sweet, it's romantic, and it's sexy. It leaves you with an overall sense of joy!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
This is a dual POV story so we get to know what is going on in both Tessa and Nick's head. We start off with Tessa and learn that she has had a thing for Nick forever. He's been her friend for a long time, and they did kiss a long time ago, but she doesn't know if he has any feeling other than friendship. Then there's Nick, who has also had a thing for her forever too. He is pulling out all the stops to try to win her over and it's actually super cute. He is really sweet and smart and everything she wants in a man.
The Secret Santa gifts are awesome! Nick put a lot of thought into the whole thing. I don't like that he feels like he needs to buy all these fancy gifts and go big to get the girl, but it is a sweet gesture. Of course she would want him without any of it, but it's the point that he is trying to buy her attention that irks me a bit. I do love how he is so detail oriented about it all though and making sure everything is just right. I won't say I wouldn't love if someone did that for me.
Their chemistry is great and it has you wanting to yell at them that they need to be together because they love each other. This was quick and entertaining with a little bit of steam to satisfy us. I really enjoyed their story and it made me smile. This was a perfect holiday read when you just want a quick escape that will leave you with a smile on your face!
