I loved this story! I liked Katie's character in the last book and I was so sad for her when she disappeared after receiving the news that changes her life. I love that we weren't introduced to her best friend, Jason, until this book. He was such a good friend to her in this book. I love how their story develops after so many missed communications and missed cues! This series has sucked me in and I am so excited that Dante is getting a story.

I'm not really sure if so many liked this book because they received it for free or because they were beta readers and decided to be nice to the author. This book wasn't all that great, it wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't a must read.

All the characters are flawed in one way or another. Every person in this book is over 25 but the book reads like a YA book. At times I felt like I was reading about a high school romance instead of an adult relationship with two grown people.

Also, the author mentions a bit of background information on some characters like we are supposed to know what the hell she's referring to. When the POV turns to Ric and Roberta, I had no clue what was going on. At one point I was so confused I had to stop reading and actually search the author's other works to see if there was a prior book to this one. Turns out, there is. Ric and Roberta have their own book but under a completely different series...that's where the confusion lies.

This books only saving grace is the kidnappers mysterious element and the sex. That's it.

I did not absolutely love this book, but I enjoyed reading it

I did not absolutely love this book, but I enjoyed reading it.

After finding out a huge secret about her family Kate runs away to Europe without telling anyone where she is going. Jason, her best friend, is hired to follow her to make sure she is ok. When a couple of thugs try to kidnap Katie, Jason realizes that she is grave danger and someone is out to cause her and her family harm. Jason and Katie journey to Rome to meet up with Katie's family trying to outrun the thugs that are after them.

The suspenseful action in this book could have been better but overall a very enjoyable read. It ending in a pretty good cliff hanger so I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

Note: You might want to read Lasting Pride before this one because characters from this book show up in Secret Seduction and it bothered me a little bit that these characters were written in a such a way that the author expected you to know their story. (less)

There's no meat to the storyline

All there is to the story is the fact that they are being hunted down by someone and they have sex whenever possible. I'm ok with sex but when there's no intrigue, no angst there's no meat to the story. Could use editing too.

    Good, but---- Good, but......

The story was very good, but the author can't spell, and whoever proof read it, needs to be fired.

    This book was entertaining

While this book was entertaining, and the back story interesting I felt that it needed to be fleshed out a bit more. The Characters didn't have time to develop more and they needed to. I like the connection to her childhood friend though that was well done as was the writing style.
