Just Hot Enough!
OMG! This author writes erotic romance novels the likes of which I had never read before! This was the first of her books I read, and I could hardly put it down. When I finished it, the first thing I did was go to the bookstore and buy every other title she had written, and they were as good as this book. She never gets nasty, but she had me wishing I could crawl into the pages of the book and be the heroine (and get what the heroine was getting!)

Never Fails!!!
I love this author!!! I'm not a hard core erotic book fan but when you need a little sizzle at night before you go to bed Carew's books are the way to go. I really enjoy the fact that the women in her books are allowed to freely adventure into the unknown without judgment. In short, this book is about a submissive woman who is in need of a master; someone who will encourage her to truly embrace her sexual wants and desires AND feel good while doing it. While Blush is still my favorite, I really enjoyed this book (especially the ending)! ?

well written heated erotic romance
When Max Delaney and Summer Anderson meet they are instantly attracted to one another. He mentors her in his world of BDSM as he is a master dominant and believes she is a dormant submissive. Max proves correct as Summer craves his dominating her.
Until now she hid this side of her nature from the other two males in her life, Shane and Kyle. Summer decides she has graduated and plans to teach the two hunks what Max taught her so that she has three men at one time. However, she also hesitates out of fear that Max will not appreciate sharing her with others and she wants all three outside the bedroom dungeon too.
Not for everyone with BDSM and multiple partnering, SECRET TIES is a well written heated erotic romance starring two protagonists who seem real supported by a strong cast especially in the vast sexual encounters. scenes. Fans will enjoy Summer's dilemma as Max has given her every fantasy she craves except one. She fears pushing the envelope of three hunks taking her at the same time may drive away any of the trio she loves but especially her teacher.

Steamy!
This was fantastic! If you are looking for some VERY steamy sex scenes, this is the book for you. Do NOT read if you do not enjoy scenes with multiple partners. It's very graphic and detailed, but if you like that kind of book, read this!

Fulfilling
The book was exciting from beginning to end. It was like a step by step introduction to BDSM. Loved it - took me out of my shell!

Secret Ties Could Have Remained Secret...
I normally love Opal Carew books, and if you want a quick read that gets you a little hot under the collar then this might be for you. However, I expected a little more for my money and a lot more from Opal. I found Secret Ties to have an under developed plot, under developed characters and was simply too short to be the enjoyable erotic novel I was hoping for.

I do enjoy the steam that rises from the erotic scenes between Summer and Max, and also between Summer and her hometown love interests Kyle & Shane. Although, I would have liked to have seen more emotional development between the characters. The easy acceptance of the relationship between Kyle, Shane and Summer seemed too easy and contrived; as did the final relationship between all the main characters at the end. Where is the tension? Where is the drama?
Lust and Love are all well and good, but there is more to escapism than these two emotions. for my money... I'm looking for a more holistic experience and more well rounded characters. Opal, I love your work... bring me the WHOLE story please. -

Thought this one would be better...
I enjoy Opal's books, but this one left me feeling rushed and un-connected to the characters. Everything happens so fast, too fast, that you don't get to really go-through and experience the emotions that each of these people are supposed to feel, because they're already moving on to the next one. It's definitely a quick-read if you like those.

And the words: c*ck, gasped and groaned were used in every other sentence, and/or repeated too much in one. It got old...
By the time I closed the book, I realized...that while it was loaded with SEX and yummy men, it was also just so-so. I liked Max, Shane and Kyle ?...but I also felt so sorry for them. I felt they all deserved more than what they got.
I did not like Summer or her friend Tanya, or any of the female characters...none of them seemed to have any debating moral dilemmas, and Summer just ran off with whoever...
The belly dancing was described cool though, I could see that whole routine...very hot! -

Opal does it again - her best ever
I just finished reading SECRET TIES and I loved it. Opal Carew just keeps getting better and better. I first discovered her when I bought SWING last year, and I've since bought all her other books. I love her style and the way she takes an average woman (me!) and allows her to explore her sexuality.

In SECRET TIES, when Summer meets Max at an out-of-town trade show, she decides a weekend fling would be harmless. She has no idea how successful Max will be in bringing out her wild side and what an effect this will have on her life.
The book is extremely sexy, exploring bondage, dominance and submission, and it totally drew me in. I love both her playful style, and intense love scenes!
I highly recommend this book. -

Really hot and sexy!
There were three really hot heroes in this book and I fell in love with each of them! I liked Summer and enjoyed following her as she discovered her submissive side, then learned how to go after what she really wanted and to grow. I highly recommend this book!
