Essential reading for anyone interested in hormone optimization

Unfortunately we were not taught anything about using bioidentical hormones in medical school. It seems that all of the important things I have learned about health were learned after graduation. A case in point was when I stumbled upon this "Bioidentical Hormones" series of books which have provided me with a comprehensive overview of the subject. Book Three, "Secrets About Growth Hormone!" explains why the standard of care to treat only extremely deficient GH levels (AGHD) that is followed by the majority of physicians is often not the best decision for many patients' health. This book distinguishes among AGHD, subclinically low, and suboptimal GH levels elaborating on the negative health consequences of leaving inadequate GH levels untreated and the benefits of bringing GH levels up to youthful levels. It describes the clinical symptoms of GH insufficiency and how it is often confused with many other common endocrine problems. Evaluation and treatment labs are given. Natural treatment methods are given first, and then all of the other treatment methods are discussed, moving from the safest to the most dangerous treatment modalities with advantages and disadvantages of each method. This book is essential reading for any physician or layperson interested in hormonal optimization, as GH influences all of the other hormones and has a profound impact on multiple health parameters.

    Fantastic discussion of GH optimization

This book is packed with helpful information to learn how to bring Growth Hormone levels up to normal. It explains why doctors are reluctant to treat GH deficiency and why many doctors do not even know the difference between low GH levels and other problems. With the help of this book, I was able to find a doctor who could properly diagnose and treat my low GH. The efficacy and safety of many treatment options were discussed in detail. Overall, this is a fantastic and intelligent book about the current state of the art of GH optimization.

I learned a lot about Growth Hormone from reading this book.

This is a great book to read to learn about Growth Hormone. It was interesting to read about how to know if you need it, how to bring your own Growth Hormone up naturally, the different ways that it can be taken, where to get it and how to take it. This book addresses both the pluses and the minuses of using Growth Hormone and differentiates between the different kinds of Growth Hormone in terms of how safe they are and how effective they are.
