    Hot Read

Sometimes being girly is a lovely thing. Sometimes it is just plain difficult - like when you are camping in a national forest without warning! Being girly is what keeps Allie interesting. Her desire to shower (or bathe) and her desire to wear nice clothes keep her character interesting during her sparring with Clint.

Oh yeah, her cursing and general "potty mouth" keep her character from being boring, too.

The concept is familiar: the hero "kidnaps" the heroine, she attempts to escape, contacts someone, and before being rescued, starts to enjoy the time with her captor. Thus when she is "rescued", confusion ensues and drives the hero and heroine apart, only to be reunited by a secondary character for a happy ending. Both Allie and Clint have multiple layers to their personalities, and this is what keeps the "kidnapping" portion of the book interesting. Enjoying Allie's reaction to camping, and the lack of "real food" as well as her enjoyment of the outdoors keeps the plot from getting stale.

One can not help but enjoy Allie's foibles: posing as a stripper, breaking a heel while trying to escape, running into Clint's mother while grocery shopping . . . it makes up for her whining episodes when she isn't getting her way.

This is a nice, easy read. It is just the thing to bring to the beach (or camping!) and while away an hour or two. Enjoy it this summer!

    :-)

Best in the series for me. I find myself unable to not like a story of childhood friends who realize their relationship has changed to more than friendship while they werent looking. At first the heroine, Allie, bugged me to no end but she eventually grew on me as the book progressed and she got over being 'kidnapped'. Now, our hero, Clint...*swoon*; he could kidnap me anytime! There's very little catch up on Dangerous Grounds and Tempting Adam but the heroines from each book is mentioned as to where they are now. Very quick read, lots of chemistry between the H/H and the supporting cast of friends are good additions to the story.

    short, hot and sweet

I liked that book,it's not top notch but hot enough. I can always read about sweet romance and hot sex, which is a booster. The characters were believable and passionate enough to imagine them being real.

Shelli Stevens has a real hit with this series. The characters are exciting and real. I read for entertainment and completely enjoyed these books and it is with no hesitation that I highly recommend this series and this author. Looking forward to more from her.
