    Maybe his best

This might be the best book by Scribner. Jonah Singer is the main character. Very tense guy and kind of cool, but supporting character Tate Powers steals the show. Tate's kind of one of those creepy in your head types who you don't know whether to love or hate. I was disappointed for awhile when Tate was out of the book, but he makes a grand appearance at the end. Otherwise, this was a good book with an interesting concept.

You'll wonder why you do the things you do

The main character in this books has all kinds of psychological issues. When they start to fall away you get to see the higher purpose they served. A scary and thoughtful book.

    One of his better novels.

Of all Joshua Scribner's book, this one stands out. It's probably the second or third best, behind A Haunting Beauty and maybe Eleven O'clock Fright. It has Jonah Singer who'se neurtic out of his mind, and Tatum Powers, who's craze in a whole different, almost psychopath kind of way. It'll keep you guesing till the end.

    Improvement

I read this book when it was call Bone Song. Then I read it again as Seed. Bone Song was good, but there was definately some editing done for this reissue. It moves faster, because you're not stopping for mistakes or writing that doesn't flow. I'd say it went from a four to a five.

    Psychological masterpiece

If you like horror, and like to get deep into the minds of characters, then you have to read Scribner. In Seed, he delves into the mind of Jonah Singer, a psychologist who'se a little bit crazy himself. Jonah is befriended by another shrink who helps him start get rid of his problems, but then something else comes out. So good!

Joshua Scribner remains what of the hidden gyms of the horror genre. He tends to be more idea focused than character focused. This book is an exception to that rule. It's about the very tightly wound Jonah Singer and the unraveling of his problems and addictions. Beyond that  is what lies beneath when all these trouble are cleared out. The spice of this book is supporting character Tatum, who is downright  visceral in his solidarity. It's kind of a short novel, but you'll think about it when you're done.
