Phenomenal Resource - the best guide to saving seed I've found.

Seed to seed is an indispensable resource for anyone learning to breed and save seed from their own vegetables. We have used it regularly on our farm for the last four years. It is thorough but practical and easy for the lay person to follow, and lots of fun to experiment with. Plant breeding and seed saving, once essential routines in every year of a common person's life, are just now being rekindled as valued arts in today's culture, and countering recent trends in genetic modification and monoculture crops, thank God! This book is the ultimate tool for anybody aiming for self reliance, maintenance of genetic integrity and diversity in food crops, and good eating.

    Great book !

I was surprised with how good this book really is. It explains how to deal with seeds, how each plant reacts to different climate zone, pollination, etc. I highly recommend it. Introduction part is so beautifully written that it made me want to run out and plant something right away.

Informative but unexciting presentation. Very disappointed.

The inside is all black and white with lower quality photos. All info is so bunched together it's not easy to see where one vegetable ends and the next begins. After the annoyance of understanding exactly where the vegetable I was looking for was I did think it was informative but not clear to understand. Pictures of the process would have made a huge difference for this book. I don't like "how to" books that I have to struggle to find what I'm looking for, and then have to read it over and over to fully understand how to do it. I am disappointed I got this. I thought it would be a clear and easy reference guide and it is not.
