    Incredible Read...

Ron captures his journey from childhood to adulthood, and his reasoning
for his beliefs in eloquence. This book is a must read if you want to
have an understanding the black community and its (my words, not Ron's) stagnation and seeming desire to stay in the throes of liberalism, along with Ron's turn towards conservatism (and why he does).

With many examples, stories and background, you'll learn things you didn't know (or did, but didn't realize).

It was very hard for me to put it down. You'll feel the same.

    Sounds "Right"!

As a manager through Affirmative Action times and with experience, it is refreshing to read this story, as told by a successful minority. Never boring, informative, and a "positive" look at the issues a minority has to deal with when his/her race views the movement as "to the white" in addition to, to the right. Worth your time and your money.

    Excellant~~ Highly recommend

This man takes you through the life of a black man who never let his race get in his way on the road to success. He didn't let resentment over past history hold him back. He had parents who refused to let him grow up that way. It says so much about the importance of family support. In the black community it is the key to the problems that plague so many cities.
Blacks and Whites can learn a lot from this book. I believe this book could be a tool for dealing with and helping to heal the racial divide.

    Super book!

It takes a lot for my ADHD brain to 'plow' through a book. I start dozens but seldom finish them. This one I couldn't wait to get back to. I was attracted to this book by Ron's websites where I have found him to be a wonderful example of what a Christian is supposed to be and a political conservative as well. As Ron says in his book, it is difficult to see how a true Christian can be a Democrat, but somehow black Christians usually defy reason and vote Democrat. His personal story and conjectures are heartwarming and compelling and will help me reach people I believe will be happier when their vote aligns with their beliefs! Thank you Ron for sharing your story, your knowledge and experiences, and your love!
