Fossil Fighters Equestria: Chapter 1

    ((Spelt Caliosteo wrong.))
Inside a beautiful white castle, bordering Equestria, slept Princess Sweet Death's student, Black Midnight. She was a black unicorn, with a curled grey mane and tail. Her Cutie Mark was a crescent moon with two ka<_>tanas crossed in an X behind it. A red-orange head poked through the open door. She had a black flowing mane, her tail, snout, wide wings, forelegs, and two black horns were draconic (due to being part dragon), blue eyes, and her Cutie Mark was a skull with a pink bow. Sweetie was hearing her usual silver chestplate, silver hoofshoes (hindlegs only),and silver crown. "Black?" she called out. The unicorn grunted. "Today is the Equestrian Cup. Do you wish to join?" Black Midnight sat up straight, red eyes open. She forgot the Cup would start that day! She was planning on signing up, since it was Black's dream to be a Fossil Fighter. "Yes, ma'am!" she said. Sweet Death exited, and she rushed out.
Sweetie's tall figure stood beside a plane, which was ready to take off to Canterlot, where the Cup will be held. "Are you ready?" she asked. Black Midnight nodded excitedly. Then they got on, and flew to the capital of Equestria.
***
Black Midnight was standing among the crowd of ponies in Princess Celestia's and Princess Luna's castle. Sweet Death and her sister, Princess Twilight Sunny, sat in the guest thrones. Behind Celestia and Luna were the looming figures of Igno (Celestia's vivosaur) and Frigi (Luna's vivosaur). "Welcome, everypony!" Celestia said. "Tommorrow, the Equestrian Cup will begin! If you wish to enter, ask Green Grass to register. Registration ends at midnight. Meanwhile, I like to introduce our announcers for the tournament, Fossil Rock and Steel Shovel." Her gaze turned to two Earth Ponies, one yellow and one red, and everypony clapped. Celestia continued "We also have an honored guest. May I introduce to you, Sparkling Waters!" This time, everypony really cheered. Black Midnight couldn't catch a glimpse of the mare, since ponies were blocking her sight. "You may now go register for the Cup."
Black Midnight waited in a line at the Fighter Station. Finally, it was her turn. "May I enter the tournament, please?" The green unicorn, Green Grass, nodded. After Black signed her name, Green Grass told her "You should go to a dig site to find fo<_>ssils. There's a nice meadow outside of Canterlot." "Thanks!" she said. Then Black Midnight trotted to Sunshine Meadow.

    Fun from page one

One of my all time favorites. Different kind of story with no set genre. His best work in my opinion.
